I truly thought this was going to be one of the most difficult, lengthy processes I have experienced, especially as a first time homebuyer. To say the VU Team made everything as easy and seamless as possible is an understatement. From start to finish, the team walked me through every step, answered every question. They made the process so easy, I think we closed in less than a month! It went so fast and easy, it certainly feels like it was less than a month. My husband, the Veteran, and me had the best experience with our Loan Officer, Jerry Landrey and his Loan Coordinator, Grace Walther!! They were both so professional and gave easy instructions on all forms needed, by giving us a checklist. They were great at answering any questions that we had. The whole process was a joy because these two were fantastic!!! I will definitely refer VU to other veterans!!! And I will recommend Jerry and Grace to them!!! I give them a grade of A++.
The loan team dropped the ball more than once. Communication was poor, I had to constantly chase people down for information and to get them to follow through. Very disappointing our second go around was so bad as our first one was great.
