Loan Officer Holly Ray (NMLS #1992719) is a dedicated member of the Veterans United Home Loans team, motivated to serve by her personal connections to the military community. After graduating high school, Holly joined and served one tour with the Illinois Air National Guard. From there, she took on the equally important role of supportive military spouse. Holly and her family spent 13 years in various military communities out west before joining us here at Scott Air Force Base. In her role at Veterans United, Holly finds joy in helping borrowers achieve their dreams of homeownership. Beyond work, the Ray family loves cheering on their kids at football, volleyball and all of their other activities, as well as rooting for their favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, each fall.
Gina Hillesheim (NMLS #2152622) spent a few months with Veterans United Home Loans before earning her licensing and moving into her role as a Loan Officer. She’s no stranger to the homebuying process, having purchased six homes over the years and gaining a deep understanding of the homebuyer's perspective. On top of this, Gina grew up with a deep appreciation for the military community after hearing stories from her father, grandfather and uncles about their service. Now, she’s excited to harness her gratitude to help military families achieve the American Dream right here in our community. Having grown up and raised her family in the area, Gina can’t think of a better place to call home. Outside of work, she and her husband Rich are adjusting to their empty nest, taking advantage of date nights and traveling. The couple loves any chance to cook a big meal, however, making Sunday dinners with all four of their adult children is a favorite event in the Hillesheim household.
As the daughter of a retired Navy fighter pilot, Cally grew up watching her parents on the client side of a home loan transaction every couple of years, and knows how stressful it can get. She uses her personal experiences to not only relate to clients, but to also relieve as much stress as she can for them when it comes to the home-buying process. She's been grateful to have a career where she can live out a passion for serving Veterans and service members. When she's not in the office, she likes to be outside, practicing yoga, reading a good book and riding horses. She loves to travel, too, and blames it on her military childhood.
Jessica Erb is a Transaction Coordinator with Veterans United Home Loans at Scott Air Force Base. She is always excited to work with Veterans and their families to help them achieve their goals of homeownership. When Jessica is not at the office, she can typically be found doing something outdoors.
Transaction Coordinator Dawn Cochran (NMLS 2229476) is joining the Veterans United Home Loans team with a year of mortgage experience under her belt. Both Dawn and her husband served in the military, which means they’ve called many places home over the years, from North and South Carolina to Kansas. Now, both retired, they’ve settled in the St. Louis area and are building their home here. Dawn's biggest goal when working with customers is to break down the loan process to more manageable and understandable steps. Her Marine Corps experience comes in handy while navigating each unique loan, since adapting and overcoming challenges in pursuit of a goal is second nature for Dawn. Not to mention, waiting for the completion of her own home helps her gain perspective on a borrower’s experience. Once that home is complete, Dawn plans to fill it with memories spent with her family and her Corgis. In their free time, Dawn and her husband are enjoying going on local adventures to get to know their new home better.
