I would definitely 100 % recommend Veterans United to everyone! If it wasn't for Samuel Short, I don't think I would be calling myself a "Homeowner" today. From the moment we started my application, he was warm, kind, and extremely knowledgeable about the process, and that is something I did not experience at the many other lenders I previously worked with. He is patient, takes his time when researching, gives you suggestions on how to make your case stronger, and all his advice actually yielded positive results for me. Things can get challenging during this process, but with everyone's positive attitude and expertise, it makes the process much more tolerable. They definitely know what they're doing at Veterans United, I wish I would have found them sooner. They're very organized and meticulous about the entire process, but make it easy for you to understand and follow along. Also, a big thanks to Walter and Candance who assisted me with my closing process towards the end, they were also great!, They made my closing process very manageable and stress free. So, I’m pleased overall.1 thing I would do different is scrutinize the hell out of the initial estimate with every line item and understand how it aligns to the deal. That makes my decisions thereafter better informed. I did not do this as well with frequent late nights and not enough time away from work and the rest of the life transition going on all in parallel, and possibly suffered from it. Not a fun time for me, but glad for this team.
