Great team I had answered all my questions quick and if they didn’t know the found out for me.
Derek and his team made buying my first home with my VA loan a breeze. They basically walked me through the whole process of pre approval to final purchase. They answered any questions I had no matter if on a weekend or evening. Derek was able to move my closing date up a few days to avoid a severe storm forecasted for our area. I am very pleased with Veterans United. I had heard about them and they were recommended by other veterans on Facebook groups I follow. Highly recommend talking to them first when looking to purchase a home.
I was really skeptical about how easy and smooth the process with the VA loan would be, but Hunter, Lynnette, and Gavin all did outstanding! I was informed every step of the way and had amazing communication with them. I couldn’t ask for a better crew or company! Thanks again VU and team!

Veterans United made our refinance process incredibly smooth from start to finish. Communication was clear, timely, and professional every step of the way. They took the time to explain everything, answered all our questions, and truly made us feel valued — not just like another loan number. As a Veteran, it’s reassuring to work with a company that genuinely understands and supports military families. I would absolutely recommend Veterans United to any fellow Veteran considering a refinance.
Jaime was outstanding. He responded very fast regardless of the time.
Jimmy Stranz and the team got us in a home in 20ish days. They were very prompt with communication. I would highly recommend Veterans United.
I had a 10/10 experience with Veterans United, especially Ryan Hauser and his team. As a first-time VA homebuyer, I had a lot of questions throughout the process, and they were incredibly patient, responsive, and professional from start to finish.Ryan always took the time to clearly explain each step — from loan options and rate questions to contract details and timelines. I never felt rushed or left in the dark. Whenever something came up, the team responded quickly and made sure I understood what was happening and what to expect next, which really helped reduce the stress that usually comes with buying a home. What stood out most was how organized and supportive they were. The online portal made document uploads easy, and their communication was consistent the entire time. It truly felt like they were looking out for my best interest and wanted to make sure we made informed decisions, not just fast ones.
Nothing but issues!!! Someone dropped the ball and NO ONE would own up to it! Excuses for 10 days; closed late; encountered HUGE expense so we weren’t homeless; had to rearrange delivery of belongings twice from moving company! It was the worst experience of our lives!!!!
Response from Veterans United
Hi David,
I’m really sorry for how stressful and disruptive this was. Closing late, dealing with days of uncertainty, and having to rearrange your move more than once is a lot, and it’s understandable that this felt overwhelming. You also deserved clearer ownership and communication, and I’m sorry that didn’t happen.

Josh was very professional and got me a good interest rate!
They asked for the same paperwork over and over. They asked for paperwork on things that are not relevant and for things I had already turned in. The staff were impatient and treated me like a nuisance.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Kasey,
I’m really sorry for how frustrating this experience sounds. Being asked for the same documents repeatedly, especially ones that don’t feel relevant, is exhausting, and you shouldn’t have felt like a nuisance while trying to move your loan forward. That’s not the experience we want anyone to have.
I’d appreciate the chance to learn more and look into what happened. If you’re open to it, our Client Advocate team can be reached at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST.

The only issue I would address is buyer education. Although you have the educational videos I wouldn’t leave it to the buyer to review them. I would make it a requirement on the to do list to review those videos.
It was great working with all of the staff at Veterans United, they helped with the financing, with Video's to watch and get helpful information from, everything.
Jon and Kyle made the first time home buying experience great. It was challenging for me with things that I did not understand but they took their time to explain things and keep me updated on any changes. I am so grateful for them that I am in my new home.
I would think the use of docusign might sped things up? my last refie in 2020 used it a lot, still had to physically close. maybe its the VA? My second go with VA loan Guarentee. Also you need redundancy built into your servers.. auto fall over to secondary server..Durel
