When I first heard about Veterans United Home Loan I admittedly was skeptical. I had never heard of the company before and the pushiness from my realitor (at that time) to change lenders made me nervous. I called and had an in-depth long conversation with my lender. Mike (my lender) near Scott Air Force Base, IL was very professional yet personable and extremely knowledgeable. I knew he was someone I could trust. I ended up changing realtor and trusting my gut filling... and now I’m writing this from our new house. The whole team had phenomenal, fast communication with not just myself but also (just as importantly) with each other. We also locked in a great competitive rate on our loan. My (new) realitor also exchanged information with Mike and spoke of how great he was to work with! I just received an American flag wood caving/ plaque in the mail today from VU, which was completely unexpected! Wow! Simply a great experience, could not have gone better. If you’re around Scott Air Force Base contact Mike at VU, you can see first hand what an amazing experience buying a home can be. :) Thanks!
VU was a great experience. From filling out the pre qualification form to closing. Professional, thorough and and very nice staff. I feel like I was at pro at this as easily as they made the process. I would recommend VU to any one.
I am very grateful to Veterans United for giving me the opportunity to become a home owner. My younger brother just bought a home about two months ago and suggested I contacted Veterans United to purchase a home and pay less than I was paying for rent, I thought that was impossible,I thought I was too old and I'm simi retired but after talking to Michelle Dapkus and my loan specialist Jess Manfred they walked with me and kept me so well informed I would recommend any one I know to check with Veterans United First before they make a costly mistake and regret it for the next 30 years.I would like to Thank Veterans United and all of there staff because I know there are people that I didn't meet that worked in my behalf. Thank You All for Your Excellent service. Jerry Perkins
I usually don't leave comments regarding a service I got unless they are truly outstanding. My loan specialist, Michelle Dapkus and my transaction coordinator, Jess Manfredi guided me in every step of the way and ensured a a very smooth process. The service they provide is the best in the business.
They actually return your phone calls. When trying to use other lenders in the past. I would wait days to weeks for a response. Jess responded within hours!
My wife and I feel so Blessed to have had the experience and pleasure of being able to purchase our home through the services of Veterans United. In buying homes over the past 50 years, we have never experienced a more professional, personal, and sincerely committed effort on behalf of the entire staff than we did working with the folks at Veterans United. Everyone was so knowledgeable, responsive, and friendly, and truly cared that we had the best experience possible in achieving our dreams. AND WE DID!Without reservation, we highly recommend Veterans United for your home financing!!
I will recommend VU, am in my lovely condo, thanks to the professional help I received from the team at VU.
Home buying is a nerve wracking experience. Veterans United has a team of knowledgeable people there to assist every step of the way. They are very professional. I was recommended by a fellow Veteran and would also recommend Veterans United to anyone wanting an outstanding company to help in the daunting home buying process.
You are all awesome!
I like the way they help me with improving our credit scores it didnot take long they were very helpful on everything no long waiting periods like most companies or they will tell you to try again in 6 months, not Vet United thanks to everyone that was apart of this process
everyone that helped me with this process were amazing and always there if I had questions or concerns
Staff was very helpful. Some nuances on the site asking for documentation then being asked via email was not as fluid as you would expect. I brought this up and the agency made corrections in a timely manner. Not unique to VU is the last minute "Underwriter" comments about needing X,Y,Z 3 days prior to closing when all the documentation has been idle for days
