Everyone is thorough and friendly
Poor communication, misleading promises, zero sense of urgency by VU to get things done. Had to re-upload documents multiple times, had to ask about appraisal getting done multiple times, paid for it well in advance and didn't get done on time and pushed our closing out another week. Bought points and still paid a loan origination fee because "oh we'll lose money on this if they allow that" except they'll make that amount off of me in interest in the first two months.
Our experience was not what we had hoped for. Our loan officer was great though and did what he could to keep us in the loop and explain why it took so much longer than it should have. Disappointed in the process but glad its done.

Thank you for sharing this. I’m glad to hear your loan officer helped keep things moving and made sure you were in the loop, but I’m sorry the process as a whole didn’t feel smoother for you.
