Award-winning journalist Eric Blumberg joins Veterans United Home Loans as a multimedia producer

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Veterans United Home Loans announced today Eric Blumberg, an award-winning journalist, will join its team March 6 as a multimedia producer. Blumberg's new role will focus on covering stories and issues across the nation relevant to veterans.

"Whether it is helping during the home buying process or providing information to help them use their benefits, we are constantly looking for ways to serve our veterans and active military," said Kris Farmer, chief marketing officer for Veterans United Home Loans. "Eric's multimedia experience is a great addition to our team and will help us serve even more people."

Blumberg previously worked for KOMU-TV 8 where he was a multimedia sports journalist for 10 years. He earned a regional Edward R. Murrow award in 2010, and has multiple first place awards from the Missouri Broadcasters Association.

"I'm excited to join Veterans United and find the unique and inspiring stories of our military men and women," Blumberg said. "I greatly enjoyed my time at KOMU, and thank everyone who made it so much fun."
